They don’t look like they do much to me, much prefer the real thing. I like tappin the ash off and the smoke. Where can you buy the coloured fags from? They look awesome.

30 Day Trans* Challenge

One post cause I’m a rebel and I DO WHAT I WANT.

When did you first identify with the term, “transgender?”

Asdfghj. I heard it through my friend, who felt he was also transgender-ed. When he explained it to me everything just seemed to slot into place.

How did you choose your name? What names were you thinking about using and why?

I instantly thought of Nick as my name, it’s not even close to my birth name. I just liked it and it seemed to fit, I guess I could try and link it to the song I was named after, which was sung by DUNDUNDUN Stevie NICKs.

Have you ever been outed?

Um. I guess, a few times.

How did your family take it when you came out? or, if you’re not out yet, what’s holding you back?

My family refuse to accept it, saying i’m just being silly and this is a phase (though not in such nice and simple words). It forced me back into Narnia for a while, before I realised I just wasn’t happy as I am, and after much encouragement from my girl and ginger, I finally stepped back out!

Are you active in the trans or LGBTQ community? If so, how?

I don’t feel the need to be.

Who was the first person you told about being trans?

My friends..

Who do you look up to?

I look up to two people; my bro’s.

In the beginning of your transition, how did you deal with being misgendered?

I forget if I’m honest, my friends do better at remembering than me.

What is something positive about being trans?

It makes me feel very happy and sound in myself.

What are some of your fears in regards to being trans?

Never being accepted by the people I care most about, the harassment that comes along with it, and never truly passing.

How do you manage dysphoria?

Usually my friends can tell, especially Ginger, and they just sort of set me back up.

What are you doing to stay healthy for transitioning mentally and physically?

I don’t think eating more comfort food counts. But I’m hoping to start building my muscles back up again!

How do you handle the bathroom dilemma?

Not bothered at all, I’d probably still use a stall anyway.

What are some of your passing tips?

Surprisingly, the bags under my eyes help, they sort of bring out your cheekbones slightly. Walking with a swag helps as well, thankfully I’ve always walked like I have a dick.

How have you embraced your trans identity?

Um. By coming out, and actually sorting through my transition?

What’s your rock anthem and why?

Vas.

What are your binding and packing choices, and why?

I tried packing with a pair of socks, and it felt quite cool, but having to adjust and worrying about whether my bulge looks genuine or not just wasn’t worth it for me. I would bind more often, but I’m far too lazy. I’m using a DIY binder at the moment, but i’m slowly saving up for an Underworks Trip Top.

How do you feel about the trans laws where you live?

I haven’t really searched into them. I’ll do that soon.

How do your religious views impact your being trans? If you have none, what about your parents’ religious views?

I have none and other people’s wont be affecting me.

Do you want to be a parent? Why or why not?

I have a huge need to be a parent, my hormones are just screaming at me HAVE A BABY NOW DO IT. I get very emotional upon seeing parents and young children. Fff.

What are your views on the cisgender community?

There is no spoon.

Do you feel being trans holds you back from your career choice?

Nope. Unless people don’t want to buy art from a transguy.

What stereotypes are put on trans people?

That all trans people are just DragKings and DragQueens. It’s not a lifestyle choice.

Who is your favorite LGBT actor, musician, artist, etc? Why are they your favorite?

I don’t really base my interests on one specific thing, if I like someone any they happen to be LGBT then good for them.

What are your doctor/therapist visits like?

I don’t go yet. BUT SOON HOPEFULLY.

Are you comfortable answering questions about being transgender when a teacher, friend, family, or stranger ask you?

Yeah sure, why not.

What goals do you have in regards to your transition? Aside from your transition?

I want to be able to pass easily, that’s about it.

What is something you do daily to feel comfortable with yourself?

I style my hair in different silly ways. I dyed it today actually, MANLY BROWN.

Write out something positive about yourself using the letters of your name.

Asdfghj, what do you want from me.

Write a haiku about being trans.

I can’t wait to shave,

Have a stupidly deep voice,

And go out topless.
